The original Mackie SRM450 active speaker was one of the biggest selling PA products ever. It sounded great, was compact & easy to carry, it was really loud, very reliable & it looked great too! In fact, we wondered just why Mackie thought it necessary to discontinue it! Then we heard the SRM450 v2 & we understood. The Mackie SRM450 v2 uses the same cabinet as the original SRM450, so it's still very compact & easy to carry. However, most of the internal components have been replaced & the result is a lighter, punchier, more efficient & even more reliable speaker - even when used at high power for long periods of time.
